Meditation, poetry and feminism, first anniversary of Stay Curious Club

Cultivating a proximity to a movement of feminist intersections, the club met to celebrate its first anniversary fighting for gender equality.

Cultivating a proximity to a movement of feminist intersections, in which there is more stigma and the lack of political-social conditions that formalize equity between men and women alike, Stay Curious book club met to celebrate its first anniversary among artwork by female artists and LGBTQ+.

The participants and active members of Stay Curious Club celebrated the effort and one-year results of an initiative that was born during the pandemic in 2021, among the curiosity of a dozen women economists, artists, activists, cryptoinvestors and collectors, to become a reference for Mexico of a decentralized autonomous organization that seeks to grow in collaboration with culture entrepreneurs.

For its first anniversary, the feminist reading club had the participation of the poet and co-author of the book Tsunami, Jimena González, through a conversation and poetry aloud. Jimena shared her experience writing poetry, pointing out that it is important to continue building safe spaces for women and that the voice of all those who fight for a reality in which women are not violated is promoted.

With a circular vision of the importance of being aware in the present, Renatta Bagó conducted a meditation session between the darkness and sorority of the members of the book club. Reflection, corporeality and the awakening of women from unconscious states are part of Renatta's experience as a dancer, actress and singer.

The feminist club proposal led by Tania Ramos and Belem Saucedo, highlighted that in 2022 the club will seek to position itself as a reference organization in feminist activities to contribute to Sustainable Development Goal 5: "Gender Equality" in Mexico.
